It was another great weekend to be a part of the Track and Field Community, but not in Eugene or London – this time it was the World Track and Field Championships in Moscow. Oregon Alum and Title Holder of the World’s Greatest Athlete Ashton Eaton did it again over the weekend winning gold and his new wife Brianne Theisen Eaton took home the silver in the Heptathalon on Tuesday.

When it comes to the multiple event format it seems that these two have been battle tested numerous times and the venue doesn’t seem to matter. Theisen-Eaton has stepped up her game from a poor performance at the London Olympics(she finished 11th in the event) to show she belongs on this stage along with her husband.

One of the cooler parts to the story is their coach Harry Marra celebrated a birthday on Tuesday.

"“It was an amazing four days; I’m happy for both of them. They are 25 and 24, gold and silver. I was pumping gas back then. I wasn’t winning medals.”-Marra on Ashton and Brianne’s accomplishment"

Up next for the Track and Field Couple…the honeymoon.
