Athlon Sports: Oregon Ducks Freshman RB Tyner Makes List of Pac 12 Freshman to Watch in 2013
Athlon Sports has released it’s list of the Top Freshman to Watch for the Upcoming season and at the top is a name that all Oregon Ducks Fans will likely know by the time Pac 12 play begins. Thomas Tyner is listed as an Impact Freshman to Watch:
"The record-settting tailback has all of the tools to earn the starting job at Oregon as just a true freshman. Try a state-record 643 yards and 10 scores in one game on his 18th birthday last fall. He has power, speed and plenty of wiggle to fit into the Ducks’ high-powered rushing attack. Expect plenty of mop-up duty early on before potentially earning workhorse status as the year goes along.-Athlon Sports on Freshman Running Back Thomas Tyner."
There was plenty of love to go around for other teams in the Pac 12. Quarterback Zach Kline from Cal, Eddie Vanderdoes, Defensive Lineman from UCLA, and Wideout Robert Lewis from Washington State also made the list of Impact Freshman.
The Ducks also have several players on the ‘Early Contribution’ list including a pair of brothers and Wide Receivers Devon and Chance Allen as well as Linebacker Terrodney Previt. Oregon playuers also have some Key Reserves according to Athlon Sports in Offensive Lineman Cam Hunt and Safety Reggie Daniels.
