Oregon was slow to start against Tennessee giving up 7 points to Vols before getting on the board with a Field Goal,
the first by Freshman Matt Wogan from 38 yards out. Marcus Mariota would heat up in a big way with over 400 passing
yards for the game and four touchdowns. Tennessee would have no answers after the Ducks picked up the pace in the
middle of the 1st quarter.

Several Ducks were introduced to the hometown crowd including Freshman Tight End Johnny Mundt who went over 100 yards on the day with two touchdowns. Wide Receiver Josh Huff also had an 80 yard run for a score and topped the
century mark for the day.

With 5 minutes left in the 3rd Quarter Mariota’s day was done and the reigns were turned over to Jeff Lockie.
His first play was a handoff to Freshman Running Back Thomas Tyner who picked up 5 yards and a roaring applause
from the Autzen Stadium crowd. A few plays later Tyner took it in to the endzone from 2 yards out.

Mariota and Tight End Johnny Mundt were the stars for the day for Oregon. The Ducks QB threw for 456 yards
and completed 23 of 33 attempts. He also was credited with four touchdowns on the day.

The Ducks have a bye this upcoming week before hosting Cal and the beginning of Pac 12 play on September 28th.
