Oregon Ducks vs Colorado Final: Mariota and the Ducks Fly Past Colorado 57-16

Colorado came into the game against Oregon with a major mismatch in the statistics, but they played with nothing to lose. The game begain with an onside kick that was recovered by the Ducks. After both teams took some early jabs at each other including several uncharacteristic three and outs for the Ducks the game looked to become interesting as Will Olver tacked on three points for the Buffs giving them a three point lead. Quickly following was an Oregon strike for six and a two point conversion to give the Ducks the lead. There was one more big play for Colorado as Wide Receiver Paul Richardson passed to Wideout D.D. Goodson for a 75 yard score making it 10-8 Colorado. After that Oregon rolled off three scores before the end of the first quarter and led 29-10.
Colorado was able to see the endzone one more time in the first half, but the Ducks added to their total. At the half it was 43-16. Oregon Quarterback Marcus Mariota threw for 261 yards and three touchdowns, he also ran for two more. Wide Receiver Bralon Addison had one of those scores from Mariota as well as 114 yards in the first half alone. Colorado Wide Receiver Paul Richardson had a big half for Colorado and was also over 100 yards receiving, including an already mentioned touchdown pass.
Oregon held off Colorado in the second half and added more points. Mariota on the day was responsible for 5 scores and 344 yards. The Ducks Backup QB Jeff Lockie entered the game late in the 4th quarter and threw a pick before settling in for the final quarter of play. For the game Oregon racked up 756 yards of Offense. 406 through the air and 350 on the ground. Running Back Byron Marshall ended the game with 122 yards on the ground. Through the air the Ducks had two 100 yard efforts with Bralon Addison(5 passes for 158 yards and Josh Huff(5 passes for 103 yards). Both had two touchdowns.
