It never hurts to be recognized and in the case of Sophomore Quarterback Marcus Mariota who was responsible for 42 points against Colorado on Saturday (Quick Math=7 Touchdowns)He was named Pac 12 Offensive Player of the Week for his effort againts Colorado. Mariota is the third Duck to be given the honor this year along with Running Back De’Anthony Thomas and Wide Receiver/Punt Returner Bralon Addison.

After a slightly slow start and a Colorado 10-8 lead with some Buffalo trickery including an onside kick to start the game the Ducks went on to put of 56 points total on Colorado who were held in check with mostly scoring field goals in the first half. Mariota has yet to play any games this season through the 4th Quarter and he has not needed to. That may change this weekend as Oregon again hits the road.

The Ducks face Quarterback Keith Price and the Washington Huskies in Seattle. It’s Price’s last chance to beat Oregon in his college career. The Senior injured his thumb in a loss to Stanford this past weekend but should be good to go to face the Ducks on Saturday. (1pm, Fox Sports 1)
