Oregon 17, Utah 7 Halftime, Mariota and the Ducks With 10 Rushing Yards

Oregon holds a 10 point lead at the half over Utah with several players doing the work for the Ducks. Running Back De’ Anthony Thomas has yet to score in the game but has 4 carries for 11 yards. Freshman Thomas Tyner has 3 carries for 15 yards. Oregon Quarterback Marcus Mariota has been sacked three times in the first half, twice by Trevor Reilly. The Ducks QB has yet to use his feyet in this game for a run of any kind.

Utah’s Backup Quarterback Adam Schulz has thrown a pick but settled down in the 2nd quarter completing a pass at the 5:32 mark to keep a drive going. Two plays later it led to a score on a pass from Schulz to Jake Murphy for 34 yards. The Ducks on the next series came right back with a long pass from Mariota to Bralon Addison for 57 and to Josh Huff two plays later for the score giving Oregon, again a 10 point lead.

The Utes are finding ways to hang around and will get the ball first to start the 2nd half.

Linebacker Derrick Malone left with an injury in the 2nd quarter. He had yet to return.
