Consider it an early unwrapped Christmas present for the Ducks. Oregon landed one of the Northwest’s Top Recruits on Friday afternoon as 5 foot 11, 178 pound Four Star Athlete Budda Baker committed to the Ducks and let the world know about it on his Twitter account. Baker played High School ball within a stones throw of the Washington Huskies campus. He was a two way player at Defensive Back and Wide Receiver for Bellevue.
According to OregonLive.com, he had 59 tackles, three forced fumbles, and three interceptions as a senior Defensive Back as he led his team to the Class 6A Title. He is rated by Rivals as the 7th best safety in the country. He has also been voted Associated Press State Player of the Year in Washington State. Baker certainly made the ‘offer’ rounds when it came to recruiting according to ESPN.
Arizona, Colorado, UCLA, USC, Arizona State, Colorado, Oregon State, Washington and Washington State all had offers for Baker, but he landed with Oregon. Incoming recruits can officially sign National Letter of intent on February 5th. Baker is the 16th announced committment for a strong 2014 class for the Ducks.
