After what many in the media were calling one of the best practice weeks for a Wide Receiver for former Oregon Wide Receiver Josh Huff leading up to the Senior Bowl on Saturday. I was looking forward to watching the Reese’s Senior Bowl to see what the talented former Duck had up his sleeve after the game winning catch last month against Oregon State in the Civil War. However many watching the game would be disappointed.

Following a head turning week in Practice leading up to Saturday Huff let everyone know on Twitter that he would not be playing in the game with a Tweet:

"I’m not playing today for precautionary reasonsFormer Oregon Wide Receiver Josh Huff(@Huff_Era_1) on Twitter"

To this moment no one knows what that means exactly. Like the University of Oregon policy on not speaking on injuries we can only assume it was something relatively serious. Why would a guy who had a head turning week of practtice, who likely raised his draft stock considerably not even play one snap in the game? You know he wanted to be competitive against some of the other Senior Wideouts in the country. Fans will have to wait a few months to see Huff again. He will have his Pro Day at the U of O and then the NFL Combine leading up to the NFL Draft, now  in May.

We can only hope this is small setback for a guy who is destined to have a great career in the NFL.
