Oregon Recruiting: Three-Star Athlete Charles Nelson Becomes 17th Commit for 2014 Class

Oregon Offensive Coordinator Scott Frost has been a busy man since the season ended. Three days after his official visit to Oregon three star Wide Receiver Charles Nelson out of Sea Breeze High School in Daytona Beach Florida has decided to come to the Pacific Northwest to join the Oregon Ducks. The announcement comes ten days after four star athlete Budda Baker decommitted from Oregon and likely will join the Washington Huskies, one benefit to Chris Peterson’s program is Baker is from Bellevue which is a stones throw from the University of Washington.

So what does Wilson bring to the Ducks? His height is average at 5 foot 9 inches. He weighs 165 pounds. The three-star commit was also considering Pac-12 foe USC, as well as Notre Dame and West Virginia. The Florida native played both offense and defense in high school. He caught 35 passes for 509 yards and 7 touchdowns. On Defense he recorded 57 tackles and had 4 interceptions.
His size and speed are comparable to the athlete the Ducks lost in Baker. National signing day across the country is Wednesday, February 5th.
