Oregon Women Fall at #15 Arizona State, 97-94

The Oregon Women’s Basketball team was on a roll, winning three straight would not make it a fourth after falling to Arizona State on Sunday afternoon. The game had 13 lead changes and 11 ties. The Ducks were led by Chrishae Rowe. The Freshman had 38 points. Sophomore Jillian Alleyne put together her 19th double double of the season with 18 points and 12 rebounds in the loss. Paul Westhead had his team in a good position with a 41-36 lead at halftime, but the Sundevils would fight back.
Arizona State scored 61 in the second half to the Ducks 53 for the three point victory. A 9-0 run in the second half only helped their cause. Oregon shot 46 percent for the game and for the first time this season lost a contest where they shot 40 percent or better. The rebounding battle went the Ducks way this season with an average of 8 more per game than their opponent, until Sunday’s game. The Sundevils outrebounded the Ducks 52-36.
Oregon will look to get back on track Friday night vs Utah(10-11, 3-11 Pac-12) Gametime is set for 7pm, (Pac-12 Live Sream) The Ducks will also host Colorado this weekend. The Buffs are 13-8, 3-7 Pac-12) and tied with the Ducks in Conference play. Sunday’s contest is slated for a 2pm tipoff at Matthew Knight Arena(Pac-12 Live Stream)
