When you are a College coach in any sport there are certain milestones that mean a lot to you as a person and a professional. Oregon Baseball Coach George Horton has several of those ‘milestone’ moments within reach this season. The first was reached on Monday when the Oregon Baseball team beat Hawaii 10-2 and swept the Rainbow Warriors over the weekend in a four game set. With the victory Horton now has 900 wins in his coaching career.

In the game Oregon and Hawaii kept it close until the 8th inning when the Ducks broke through. Senior Jeff Gold picked up the victory going six inning and giving up one run on five hits. Scott Heineman and Tyler Baumgartner had three hits each and led the Ducks who had 10 hits on the afternoon. The eighth inning was the deciding factor as Oregon pushed six runs across the plate and pretty much had the game in hand.
