Oregon still has plenty to play for in 2014, but the team is already being recognized by one group who thinks they are worthy of national attention for this year – later this year. The Ducks are among the teams set to play in the 2014 Legends Classic at the Barclays Center in New York. It was announced today that Dana Altman and company will join several of the elite programs from this year including Michigan(Big Ten) and Villanova in the third season of the tournament.

The Gazzelle Group made the announcement on Tuesday morning and the report adds these four teams, with a combined 80 NCAA Tournament appearances and 13 Final Fours, will each host a pair of regional round games on campus from Nov. 16-20 before tipping off at Barclays Center in the Championship Rounds on Nov. 24 & 25.

For Duck fans who know their calendars this far ahead of time this coincides with the Oregon Civil War for football. It also marks the second year in a row that the Oregon Basketball program will play in an elite tournament the first month of the season. Of course, earlier this year the Ducks played Georgetown in the Armed Forces Classic.

Oregon is currently in Las Vegas preparing to face Oregon State in the first round of the Pac-12 Conference Tournament on Wednesday. Tipoff is set fot 6:30pm PT on Pac-12 Networks.
