Phil Steele ‘Projects’ Oregon Ducks in Top 5 of the Preseason AP Poll

It should not be a shock to anyone that with College Basketball done for the year that the focus will now start to shift back to College Football in many places around the country. The Oregon Ducks are in the middle of Spring Practice getting ready for the 2014 season that brings some solid opponents to Autzen Stadium. One of the guru’s of the game, Phil Steele just came out with his Preseason Poll and he takes a look at who will likely be in the rankings when the season begins. He has the Oregon Ducks fairly high on the list.
Steele puts Oregon at number three on the list and that is respectable. Oregon is among the powerhouse teams near the top including reigning National Champion Florida State and Talent Laden Alabama. Two of the teams that the Oregon Ducks will see in the 2014 season are also in Steele’s Preseason Top 10 including the team that will be at Autzen Stadium on September 6th. Michigan State makes the list at number eight and Pac-12 opponent UCLA comes in at number seven.
Oregon will play the annual Spring Game on Saturday May 3rd(11am, Pac-12 Networks). The Oregon Ducks regular season will start with South Dakota on Saturday, August 30th.
