Oregon Volleyball 2014 Recruiting Class Ranked in the Top Ten
The 2014 Oregon Volleyball season does not start for a few months, but the 2014 class for the University of Oregon recently received word the five member recruiting class was a talented Top Ten class for Head Coach. The team was recently ranked the ninth best in the country by Volleyball Magazine and the number eight recruiting class from VolleyballPreps.com, both good signs heading into the upcoming season.

For another season the Oregon Volleyball team did not have to go very far to find players to make up a top ten recruiting class. All they had to do was follow I-5 up toward Portland. Several key pieces follow in the footsteps of Portland area players including Taylor Agost from Clackamas High School, who will join teammates Liz Brenner who graduated from Jesuit High School and Martenne Bettendorf from Central Catholic High School. In the PrepVolleyball count, Agost ranks at number seventeen. It was no surprise, to me, who the top team was in recruiting according to Volleyball Magazine.
Penn State topped the list, with the Oregon Volleyball coming in at number nine, USC was second with Washington fourth and Cal ninth on the list. Two teams that will visit Oregon this season Michigan State and Michigan were sixth and seventh respectively on the list. The Oregon Ducks start the 2014 campaign on Friday, August 29th hosting Ohio State in the Oregon Invitational.
