Former Oregon Ducks Dominate in NFL in Week 3, Blount and Ward Impress
It was a big weekend for former Oregon Ducks who play in the National Football League. One player, who is nursing an injury was again held out. Former Duck De’Anthony Thomas was ruled as out again this week as the Kansas City Chiefs took on the Miami Dolphins. The other Oregon Ducks that made moves this weekend were Denver Broncos Cornerback T.J. Ward against the Seattle Seahawks in a loss, and former Running Back LeGarrette Blount for the Pittsburgh Steelers in a win over the Carolina Panthers.

Denver met Seattle in the Pacific Northwest and the Seahawks took a big lead into the half, but Peyton Manning brought the Broncos back to force overtime. Ultimately Seattle would win this one, but for Denver Ward had four assists, a sack, and tore out some of Marshawn Lynch’s hair to which Lynch did not flinch. Seattle won the game 26-20 in Overtime. Two formero Oregon Ducks met in Primetime.
On Sunday Night Football the Pittsburgh Steelers took a power running game into Carolina and let loose. Former Oregon Ducks Running Back LeGarrette Blount rushed ten times for one-hundred fifty yards and a touchdown. On the other side of the ball former Duck Jonathan Stewart was held to five rushes for just thirty one yards on the night in the loss that had a lot to do with special teams and a muffed punt near the end of the game that led to a Steelers touchdown. Pittsburgh would win 37-19.
