PAC-12 Football Weekend Recap Week 10

Oregon and Marcus Mariota finally defeated Stanford while seizing control of the PAC-12 north division. Arizona State remained on top the south while Arizona, UCLA and USC are just one loss behind in the standings.

Here are all the results from this weekend of PAC-12 conference play.

Saturday, November 1 –

Washington Huskies (6-3, 2-3 PAC-12) 38 @ Colorado Buffaloes (2-7, 0-6 PAC-12) 23: Colorado still in search of their first conference win built a 10-0 lead before Washington’s offense came to life. The Huskies defense held down CU after half outscoring the Buffaloes 21-3 in the 15 point road victory. Shaq Thompson carried it 15 times for 174 yards with a touchdown and had 41 more receiving. Michael Adkins had 109 yards rushing for the home team while Nelson Spruce also 138 yard day receiving. Washington hosts No. 18 UCLA (7-2, 4-2 PAC-12) at 4 pm/FOX Sports 1. Colorado travels to No. 19 Arizona (6-2, 3-2 PAC-12) for a 5 pm contest on the PAC-12 Network.

Southern California Trojans (6-3, 5-2 PAC-12) 44 @ Washington State Cougars (2-7, 1-5 PAC-12) 17: It was over quickly in Pullman as USC got out to a 24-0 lead. Worst of all for Wazzu was Connor Halliday suffered a season ending injury. Cody Kessler threw for 400 yards and threw five TD passes, Javorius Allen had 114 on the ground plus 18 more receiving. Luke Falk in relief of Halliday had 346 yards with two touchdowns. Southern California hosts California (5-4, 3-4 PAC-12) on Thursday, November 13 at 6 pm/ESPN. Washington State travels south to Corvallis to take on Oregon State (4-4, 1-4 PAC-12) 1 pm/PAC-12 Network.

Stanford Cardinal (5-4, 3-3 PAC-12) 16 @ 5 Oregon Ducks (8-1, 5-1 PAC-12) 45: What’s plagued the Cardinal all season continued in Eugene Saturday night. Stanford has seemed to settle for as many field goals as anyone and works against teams not as high powered as Oregon. The Ducks ended the Cardinal streak of holding opponents under 30 points. Marcus Mariota threw for 258 yards with two scores while adding 85 more on the ground plus running it in twice more. Kevin Hogan was an efficient 21-of-29 for 237 yards but had only an interception on his final line. Stanford returns to action on November 15 when they host No. 17 Utah (6-2, 3-2 PAC-12) at 3 pm/PAC-12 Network. While No. 4 Oregon travels to No. 17 Utah (6-2, 3-2) this weekend at 7 pm/ESPN.

California Golden Bears (5-4, 3-4 PAC-12) 45 @ Oregon State Beavers (4-4, 1-4 PAC-12) 31: Conference play has been cruel for Oregon State who dropped to 1-4 this season after a 3-0 non-conference start. Daniel Lasco rushed for 188 yards on 30 carries reaching the end zone three times. Stephen Anderson caught nine Jared Goff passes for 117 yards. Sean Mannion threw for 320 with two TD passes plus an INT, Jordan Villamin had 140 with a score while Victor Bolden had 119. OSU lead 31-27 before Cal scored the final 15 points. California is off this weekend before their Thursday night game November 13 at USC (6-3, 5-2 PAC-12) at 6 pm/ESPN. Oregon State hosts Washington State (2-7, 1-5 PAC-12) with kickoff at 1 pm/PAC-12 Network.

12 Arizona Wildcats (6-2, 3-2 PAC-12) 7 @ 22 UCLA Bruins (7-2, 4-2) 17: Arizona led 7-0 after the opening quarter but that be all the scoring they did at the Rose Bowl. UCLA scored 17 unanswered points in upsetting the Wildcats. Brett Hundley passed for 189 yards with a touchdown while adding 131 rushing. Jordan Peyton caught six passes for 119 yards with a TD. Anu Soloman threw for 175 yards with a TD and INT but was 18-of-48 passing. Arizona returns home against Colorado (2-7, 0-6 PAC-12) for a for a 5 pm game on the PAC-12 Network. No. 18 UCLA will be in Seattle taking on Washington (6-3, 2-3 PAC-12) at 4 pm/FOX Sports 1.

17 Utah Utes (6-2, 3-2 PAC-12) 16 @ 14 Arizona State Sun Devils (7-1, 5-1 PAC-12) 19 F/OT: ASU built an early 13-3 lead in a game that featured scoring runs from both teams. Utah answered with 13 of their own and were ahead with 5:47 remaining when Zane Gonzalez tied the score at 16. Gonzalez won it for the Sun Devils in overtime on a 36 yard field goal. Even with 444 yards of offense Arizona State was 2-of-14 on third down and turned it over twice. Utah’s Devontae Booker rushed for 146 yards on 37 carries in a losing effort. Demario Richard in the win had 116 on just 14 carries in helping ASU remain atop the PAC-12 South. No. 17 Utah hosts PAC-12 North leader and No. 4 Oregon (8-1, 5-1 PAC-12) at 7 pm/ESPN. No. 9 Arizona State steps out of conference play by welcoming No. 10 Notre Dame (7-1) in Tempe at 12:30 pm/ABC.
