3-Star OL/DL Drayton Carlberg Commits to Oregon Ducks
On Friday the Oregon Ducks picked up a commitment from three-star Offensive/Defensive Lineman Drayton Carlberg. He is a three-star rated player according to 247Sports and is the second best player out of Minnesota. The 6 foot 5 inch two-hundred twenty pound Class of 2015 Commit had planned to announce earlier this week, but the weather got in the way as his High School was closed.

The Oregon Ducks Offensive Line injuries and issues have been well documented this season. The ‘trenches’ have not necessarily been a recruiting hot bed in years past with Chip Kelly. However, when you have a Quarterback like Marcus Mariota who can use his legs and his arm, the concern for protection is not so high. Next season will be a big test for the Offensive Line, depending on who lines up under Center in 2015. Picking up a three-star recruit for 2015 will add depth.
Carlberg visited Oregon during the Stanford Game. He becomes the sixteenth member of the Class of 2015 which includes a bevy of recurits on the Offensive Line including, Brady Aiello, Jake Hansen, Calvin Throckmorton, Shane LeMieux, and Zach Okun.
With the amount of talent, Carlberg also has experience on the Defensive Line and could be used as a two-way player with Oregon.
