The Oregon Ducks entered the game on Sunday with an undefeated record at Matthew Knight Arena. The two games they had lost to that point were in New York in the Legend’s Classic. In one of the bigger non-conference games of the season in the Pac-12, Oregon met Mississippi. Dana Altman’s team was able to get a lead, but were unable to hold that lead. There was also a valiant effort for a comeback in the second half, but the Oregon Ducks came just short of keeping their home undefeated record in tact.

Ole Miss built a 47-33 lead heading into halftime, untimately getting the victory. For the game Oregon shot just thirty-seven percent from the floor and seventy-four percent on free throws. Oregon lost by just six points 79-73. Dillon Brooks led the scoring for Oregon with twenty-one points. Joseph Young added seventeen. The Oregon Ducks bench was not very effective in the loss accounting for just five points.

The Oregon Ducks now have a week to get ready for a road trip to take on Illinois, who will face Villanova in the Jimmy V Classic in New York on Monday night. The game in Chicago is next Saturday at 4pm Pacific Time. It will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.
