2015 Defensive End Recruit Josh Sweat Flies South, Commits to Florida State over Oregon
According to 247Sports Defensive End Recruit Josh Sweat is the best recruit in the country and teams around the country, including Oregon were in line for his services. The five-star will be a member of the Class of 2015. On Wednesday morning Sweat became an early Christmas present for the Florida State Seminoles, spurning the Oregon Ducks among other schools.

The Oregon Ducks would have loved to have Sweat in the Defensive fold next season. The Defensive End visited Oregon on December 5th before committing on Wednesday to Florida State. He is six foot five, weighs two hundred forty pounts and runs the forty yard dash in 4.5 seconds. 247Sports lists Sweat as the top prospect out of the state of Virginia. The Seminoles already have top talent on Defense lined up for next season.
Florida State and Oregon will meet on New Year’s Day in the College Football Playoff and intentions of several players for next season are yet to be known, but when you are a player of Sweat’s caliber other recruits will likely follow his lead.
According to the article the final two choices came down to Virginia Tech and Florida State. Sweat visited several schools across the country including Georgia, Ohio State and Oregon before deciding on the Semimoles.
