The Oregon Women’s Basketball team started Pac-12 play at 7-4 and began the night against the USC Trojans not playing their best. The team was behind from the start and was never able to recover. Kelly Graves saw his team trailing 23-6 with just over eleven minutes left in the first half. Oregon battled to make it an eight point game at halftime.

In the second half USC responded with a 19-5 run that put the game out of reach for the Oregon Ducks. Jillian Alleyne had twenty points and fifteen rebounds in the loss. Katelyn Loper added sixteen. The game on Monday night had a different feel and outcome against UCLA.

The first half was a low scoring affair with the Bruins taking an early lead before Oregon came back and did not to much. For the first half both teams shot poorly and a combined thirteen for sixty one, and five for twenty seven from the beyond the arc. The second half would see Oregon warmup and take a decisive 11-0 run that would earn them the victory.

Lexi Peterson led all scorers with twenty-one points to go with nine assists. Jillian Alleyne in the win did not reach double-double status for the first time in a long time snapping her streak with eight points and fifteen rebounds. It was the third longest streak in Women’s Basketball history.

Oregon visits Oregon State on January 9th.
