Oregon Football Recruiting: Ducks Prepare For Another Mariota
The Oregon Ducks have been known to be able to take young unknown players and make them household names. In some cases, the talent is evident and takes care of that all by itself. In others it takes some coaching. On Monday the Oregon Ducks received word that a familiar name will don an Oregon Ducks Uniform for the next several seasons.

Matthew Mariota, younger brother of Heisman Trophy Winner and soon to be NFL Draft pick Marcus Mariota has announced that he will join the 2015 Class for the Oregon Ducks as a walk-on. Unlike other athletes who have pages dedicated to their high school highlights, the younger Mariota does not even have a photo in his 247Sports Profile.
He comes to the Oregon Ducks as a Defensive Lineman. At six foot three and two hundred thirty pounds he could push for playing time early with the losses of Defensive Starters Arik Armstead and Tony Washington. Even though he is a walk-on that will bring the Oregon Ducks commitment list for the 2015 Recruting Class to twenty-two.
National Signing Day is set for Wednesday, February 5th and the Oregon Ducks areas of need are starting to fill. The Annual Spring Football game is Saturday, May 2nd.
