As I start to write this the “hay is in the barn” as the analysts like to say. Oregon’s Class will end up with 10 lineman, 4 WR/TE, 3 DB, 2LB, 1 QB and 1RB. Tons of speed and size and plenty of stars. With a huge haul and a top 20 recruiting class Oregon fans should be thrilled with the new Ducks. But two huge shadows loom over the Duck program. One is at MLB as they had held out hope for John Houston who ended up going with USC. Add to that the looming decision from Vernon Adams on whether to transfer and play his final season in Eugene versus returning to Eastern Washington. Adams’ decision could fill the void Mariota left with an experienced, explosive playmaker and would likely shift the talk in the PAC back North on a day dominated by LA.
So the Ducks will likely finish the day around 15 in recruiting rank. Now that the 2011 class has largely worked it’s way through school and going into their final year of eligibility, how did that class turn out in respect to how they were ranked. Nationally that class ranked nationally right around 10 overall. Here’s the rundown of the highlights of that class.
