Oregon Ducks Conor Harber Named Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week
The Oregon Ducks Baseball team is off to a fast start this season and have won eight of nine games. Their lone loss, against Hawaii was on the road last week. One key reason for the early success is Relief Pitcher Conor Harber who was named Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week on Monday.

Harber has been electric early in the year throwing six inning if no-hit ball last Thursday night in a win over New Mexico State. He also threw five two-hit innings in Hawaii the week before. He is 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA in 2015 and his confidence is quickly building. Harber has been in a unique position filling in on days when Starter Cole Irvin takes the mound. He has given up two hits in eleven innings pitched with twelve strikeouts and just two walks.
Irvin is coming off Tommy John Surgery last season and is still working on building arm strength. Harber has been the player to step up and take over the long relief role on those days.
The Oregon Ducks face Portland on Tuesday at 6pm at PK Park before leaving for a three game road trip against UC Santa Barbara starting on Friday. Oregon returns to PK Park next weekend to take on St. Johns.
