Oregon Baseball Begins Seven Game Home Stand Hosting St. John’s
The Oregon Baseball team suffered just their second loss of the season on the road to finish off a three game road trip to UC Santa Barbara last weekend. Oregon won the first two games in the series. The Ducks now return home where they are a perfect 5-0 on the year to host St. John’s in a four game home stand this weekend, before hosting San Francisco for a quick two game set midweek next week.

Oregon is batting at .311 as a team so far in 2015. Third Baseman Matt Euriste is leading the charge with a .556 average to go along with eight RBI’s. Second Baseman Mitchell Tolman has a team high twelve RBI’s and is hitting at .313 to begin the year. The month of February was also good to Oregon on the mound.
The team is 5-0 with a 2.80 ERA thanks in part to Conor Harber’s efforts pitching in relief for Starter Cole Irvin, who is coming off Tommy John Surgery. Harber threw six inning of hitless ball last weekend at PK Park against New Mexico. He has thrown sixteen innings of scoreless relief so far in 2015. Pollsters are starting to take notice of this team.
In the D1Baseball.com poll, Oregon jumped into the top ten at number eight following the series win against UC Santa Barbara last weekend. The three game series with St John’s begins on Friday night at 6pm PT, Game 2 is Saturday at 2pm PT, and the final game of the series is Sunday at Noon.
