Oregon Ducks Need Extra Innings To Beat St. John’s
The Oregon Ducks Baseball team found a way to win on Friday night in extra innings against a feisty St. John’s team. The Red Storm used their nickname well and rallied in the ninth inning to score three runs to tie the game. It took until the twelfth for Third Baseman Matt Euriste to score on an error from second base for the win.

The Ducks have yet to lose at home this season and are now 6-0 at PK Park. Third Baseman Matt Euriste had himself they key walk in the game, but saw his eight game hitting streak come to an end. Oregon Starter Cole Irvin threw fifty pitches in four innings. Reliever Conor Harber came in to relieve Irvin and was stellar, until the ninth inning where he gave up a run with no outs. Closer Garrett Cleavinger entered and gave up the game tying two run home run.
Stephen Nogosek entered to relieve Harber and shut down St John’s in two and two thirds innings to allow the Ducks to win it in the twelfth. The three game series with St John’s continues this afternoon at 2pm, the final game of the series is set for Sunday at Noon from PK Park.
