Oregon Ducks Look To Stay Hot As Regular Season Comes To A Close
The Oregon Ducks enter the final week of the regular season with NCAA Tournament hopes still alive. They are currently 14-13 in the Pac-12 digging themselves out of a miserable March which saw the team win seven of seventeen games. February saw one of the better starts for a George Horton coached team winning the month and bring ranked as high as eighth in the National Polls. Baseball is a long season and Oregon is in a great position in the final week to make a post season worthy statement. It begins on Tuesday night with a trip to Oregon State.

Oregon won two of three games against Oregon State earlier this season, but the Beavers struck back with a 10-2 win a few weeks ago in a non-conference game. The game on Tuesday between Oregon and Oregon State will determine the season winner in the rivalry known as the Civil War. This season’s baseball Civil War could go a long way this week as Oregon will return home to face Pac-12 Title winner UCLA this weekend at PK Park. Oregon can also make a climb up the Conference standings.
Oregon Third Baseman Mitchell Tolman has been on a tear of late hitting over .400 in his last sixteen games. His season average is at .328. He has led the team in key moments on Offense the last few weeks including a comeback win against Utah. Tolman will look to continue his hot streak this week.
The Oregon Ducks take on Oregon State on Tuesday at 6pm Pacific Time before closing out the regular season this weekend hosting UCLA for three games.
