Oregon Football Recruiting: Ducks Add Speedy RB Commit Malepeai to Mix
The Oregon Ducks picked up another committment for the Class of 2016 over the weekend in three-star Running Back Vavae Malepeai. According to 247Sports, Malepeai is six foot, one-hundred ninety five pounds and can runa 4.44 forty yard dash. When it comes to speed he is near the top of the list for next year’s recruting class.

According to Andrew Nemic from the Oregonian, Malepeai committed to the Ducks during an unofficial visit on Saturday and will also become the fourth member of his family to play for Oregon, which includes several family members going back to the 1990s.
Scout.com has Malepeai as a four-star recruit. He becomes the ninth commitment for the Class of 2016 and is the sixth player on Offense for the Ducks which includes Quarterback Seth Green, Tight End Cam McCormick, Wide Receivers Theo Howard and Dillon Mitchell and Offensive Lineman Jacob Capra.
Malepeai had interest from several schools including Cal, Colorado, Stanford, USC and Washington State from the Pac-12 and Michigan and Nebraska from the Big Ten according to 247Sports. Nemic said the four star recruit was in town for the Eugene Regional for The Opening and won an invite based on his performance on Sunday.
The Opening will take place July 7th-10th on the Nike Campus in Beaverton, Oregon next month.
