Former Oregon Ducks Defensive Star Haloti Ngata has spent the last nine seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, the team that drafted him. In the offseason he was traded to the Detroit Lions and he recently spoke about his excitement over the upcoming season with his new team.

Ngata will be considered a replacement for Ndomokong Suh, who led the Defense in Detroit until he departed for Miami this past offseason.
Ngata told the Detoit Free Press recently
, “I’ve never been a part of a defense like this. You have so many athletes: J.J., Ziggy, Caraun, Darryl Tapp. You just have so many playmakers all over the front on the D-line. I’m just excited to be a part of it.”
The former Oregon Duck says he believes he will be a part of one of the best Defenses of his career according to ProFootball Talk. Detroit will begin their 2015 Defensive Stand in the Preseason against the New York Jets on Thursday, August 13th. The regular season begins at San Diego on September 13th.
