Quarterback Vernon Adams Will Start For Oregon Ducks Against Washington Huskies

More from Autzen Zoo

This week in practice, the Oregon Ducks decided to change things up at the Quarterback position following the loss to Washington State last weekend. The decision was to give the ball to one guy and let him go for the game. Of course, that was the idea at the beginning of the season but an injury to season Starter Vernon Adams led to Oregon playing two-headed monster at QB with Taylor Allie and Jeff Lockie starting since Adams was unable to finish the game at Michigan State – he almost finished it with a win, but the Ducks lost by three points. Oregon has gone the last few games with Jeff Lockie starting and not having as much successes as Oregon has been accustomed to. He has started two games, and has two losses to his record. The Oregon Ducks will look to end that tonight.

Aaron Fentress from Comcast Sportsnet Northwest has reported that Oregon will go with Vernon Adams tonight against the Washington Huskies. Adams broke the index finger on his throwing hand against his former team Eastern Washington to start the season and he also has experienced playing Washington State. Last season he threw for over 400 yards and 7 touchdowns, but in a different uniform. The hope, he can regain his form that was the reason that Oregon brought him across state lines and show why he is a playmaker. A solid performance tonight will give the Oregon Ducks something they have seeked on Offense all season, an Identity.

Vernon Adams leads Oregon against the Washington Huskies. Kickoff at 7:30pm Pacific Time on ESPN2.
