Oregon Ducks Take Down Arizona State in Triple OT

Oregon Ducks Survive Triple Overtime, Beat Arizona State

Oregon Gameday Preview

The Oregon Ducks will look to do something they have not done yet this season. Win two straight games. Following the game two weeks ago against the Washington Huskies where it appeared the team got back on track with Vernon Adams at the helm. The first series of the game against Washington saw Oregon go down the field in a hurry with Adams and Darren Carrington leading the charge. For the most part it was Carrington and Adams, along with some key plays from Bralon Addison that led the way to a Pac-12 win over the Huskies.

Following a week off, Oregon now heads to Arizona State, where the Ducks have had similar success as against the Washington Huskies. It has been over 4000 days since the Sun Devils have beaten the Oregon Ducks, but if there is ever a season to do it, it is 2015. Both teams enter at 4-3 on the season. Arizona State has the more seasoned Quarterback who has been in the Sun Devils system for long enough to beat Oregon. However, Arizona State does one thing very well that could lead to their unraveling tonight. They love to blitz. They are also very good at it with 13.5 sacks on the season, but with all that blitzing, it also gives the opposition an opportunity.

Thirty eight plays this season have gone for twenty or more yards for the opposition. I would consider those to be ‘explosion’ plays and if Oregon can catch Arizona State off guard on Thursday night a time or two, a win would be easier for Oregon. Both teams are in need of a win to get back on track with their respective seasons. The question is, who wants it more? Now, some links:
