Oregon Ducks Football Recruiting: Transfer Quarterback Dakota Prukop Leaves Uncommitted
Dakota Prukop spent the first part of his weekend visiting the Oregon Ducks and left impressed with what he saw. Is another transfer QB the answer for the 2016 season?
If the Oregon Ducks are looking to woo another graduate transfer similar to Vernon Adams, Dakota Prukop from Montana State may be one worth seeing on the field in an Oregon Ducks uniform. The graduate from Montana State visited the Oregon Ducks over the weekend and left being very impressed by the team and the facilities according to 247Sports.
Dakota Prukop has a year of eligibility remaining and can enroll and play anywhere, similar to the option that Vernon Adams had this season for the Oregon Ducks. He threw for over 3000 yards and 28 touchdowns last year at Montana State. He also showed some Mariota-like speed and rushed for 11 touchdowns. That is the kind of productivity that the Oregon Ducks are looking for, but do they really need another quick fix to allow the pipeline of Quarterbacks in the system to develop? Time will tell that story.
The Oregon Ducks are already stocked with talent at the QB position and if he does come to Oregon he will join a busy backfield that already includes 2016 commits Terry Wilson and Seth Greene. Morgan Mahalak, Taylor Alie and Travis Jonsen. Jeff Lockie will also be entering his Senior season with the Oregon Ducks.

Following his visit with Oregon, Prukop left to continue his weekend visiting Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide. We can hope that the Oregon Ducks ‘first impression’ will stick. The former Montana State Signal caller is expected to make his decision on Monday.
