The New England Patriots can add another Running Back to the Injury List for the 2015 season. Lead Rusher LeGarrette Blount will miss the remainder of the season with a hip injury.

Former Oregon Ducks Running Back LeGarrette Blount has found success at the next level, most recently with the New England Patriots where he played a big role in their Super Bowl run last season. This season has been a season of the injury bug for the Patriots. Despite the injuries the Patriots are 11-2 on the season and snagged a playoff berth on Sunday with their win over the Houston Texans.

In the win, New England also lost LeGarrette Blount to a hip injury. It was reported on Wednesday by ESPN that the injury is season ending. Blount has been the leading rusher for the Patriots this season putting up over 700 yards on the ground and scoring six touchdowns. The one thing that New England does not have on the roster is a 1B to Blount’s 1A and that could be trouble for the AFC East leaders for the rest of the month.

New England did sign Montee Ball on Tuesday. Brandon Bolden and James White will look to lead the Patriots Rushing Attack with Running Back Dion Lewis lost to injury earlier this season. Left Tackle Nate Solder and Wide Receiver Julian Edelman will also not see the field again this year.
