The Oregon Ducks(9-2) face a tough road test against SEC foe Alabama(7-2) before the Christmas break.

The Oregon Ducks can pick up their tenth win of the season on Monday night with a road win over Alabama. Dana Altman has seen his team work through early season adversity with injuries and his team has now won to straight games against teams from the Big West in UC Irvine and Long Beach State.

Against the 49ers last Friday, the Oregon Ducks survived a team that shot well from beyond the arc landing 11 of 27. Travis Hammonds had 27 points and was dialed in hitting 8 of 10 from three and setting a new Matthew Knight Arena record for an opponent. In the end, it was the Oregon Ducks who showed discipline hitting over 90 percent from the free throw line in the win.

The Oregon Ducks will face a solid and hot Alabama team in Birmingham on Monday night. The Crimson Tide of the basketball world sit at 7-2 and average just over 66 points per game. While the Ducks have won three of their last four, Alabama has won five straight games.

Offensively Alabama is led by Retin Obasohan averaging 14 points per game and Shannon Hale putting up 13 points on average. The Defensive end is where these two shine. Obasohan has forced 18 turnovers and managed 11 steals. Hale has 23 turnovers and 4 steals. Similar to Oregon, the Crimson Tide can block and will on Monday night.

Jimmy Taylor and D0nta Hall have 27 blocks between them this season. If Oregon can get their Defense going early with Chris Boucher and Jordan Bell and the Ducks bench can get in their bench in the game the outcome could go their way.
