The Oregon Ducks Baseball team dropped a three game series on the road against the Washington Huskies as the hitting woes continue this season.

George Horton watched his team start the three game series at Washington on a good note, with a run in the first three innings against the Huskies. It all started with Austin Grebeck getting on base to start the game. Tim Susnara brought him home to give Oregon a 3-1 lead into the third inning. Washington bounced back to take a 5-3 lead through the bottom of the 5th. It was a scrach and claw game that in the end saw Oregon fall following a 3- run home run by Gabe Matuszak in the bottom of the ninth inning sending Oregon to a 9-6 loss. Cole Irvin game up 5 earned runs through six innings for a no decision.

Friday night saw Matt Krook on the mound for the Oregon Ducks and Krook started a nine inning scoreless streak on the opposition. He threw five innings with no runs. Four pitchers followed to shutout the Huskies and give Oregon a series tying win. Travis Moniot scored Matt Kroon in the fifth. Nick Catalano added another run in the sixth inning as Oregon won 2-0.

The weekend finale on Saturday had Kyle Robeniol on the mound. David Peterson was out with an illness. Robeniol threw on Tuesday against Seattle giving up three runs on four hits through 5 and 1/3 innings. Steven Packard gave the Ducks some Offense going 2 for 4 with 3 RBI’s. Packard and Jakob Goldfarb had back to back home runs to start the game for the Oregon Ducks, but George Horton would see his team fall and lose the three game series. The final Sunday saw the Ducks on the loss column 7-4.
