The Oregon Ducks again host the NCAA Track and Field Championships at Historic Hayward Field starting today and running through Saturday, June 11th. For the second year in a row it will be a day format. On Wednesday and Friday the Men’s Events will take center stage. Thursday and Saturday will see the Women’s teams competing for individual and Team Titles.

Mitch Modin and Joseph Delgado will take to the field early on Day One taking part in the Decathalon. Of course when Oregon fans think of the Decathalon, one name comes to mind. Ashton Eaton. He took the 2012 Olympic Trials by storm and will return again to Hayward Field next month to defend his title at Hayward Field. All in all, 32 Oregon Athletes will compete over the next four days for NCAA Championships.

The name to watch for the Oregon Ducks on Wednesday is Devon Allen, who will participate in three events, the 4x100m the 110 meter hurdles and the 200 meters. The day will be capped by the 10,000 meter final as Edward Cheserek looks to again take the NCAA Championship for 2016.

Team title numbers will begin with the first event with first, second, and third places all earning points. Oregon has some solid competition on the Men’s side but with 32 athletes overall The Men have 17 athletes set to participate in 12 different events.
