Oregon Ducks Volleyball: 2016 Pac-12 Conference Slate Announced
Oregon Ducks Volleyball will have quite the challenge ahead in 2016, but will face Stanford just once during the Pac-12 season.
The Oregon Ducks Volleyball team is set to begin the 2016 campaign much different than the 2015 season started. Last year, Oregon did not see a home game at or near Matthew Knight Arena for the entire non-conference slate. This year will be very different with three powerhouses of NCAA Volleyball coming to Eugene to open the season.
Nebraska, Florida, and Texas will all come to Matthew Knight for an early season tournament, with Oregon facing two of the three teams, Texas and Florida to begin the season. On Monday, the Pac-12 Conference announced the regular season Pac-12 games. Included are the standard opening and closing game series with Oregon State which begins on September 22nd at Matthew Knight Arena.
The way the calendar shakes out, the Ducks will see USC and UCLA twice, at home and away, and typical Pac-12 Powerhouse Stanford just once, on the road as the season winds down on Wednesday, November 23rd.
The upcoming season should continue with the chase to another NCAA Tournament as the Ducks have assembled the 2nd Best Recruiting Class in the Country, after having the 4th best last year according to GoDucks.com.
