2016 Olympic Trials Day 4: Rogers Finishes 7th in 800 Meters

Day Four of the Olympic Trials at Hayward Field will see one final for Oregon and Raevyn Rogers in the 800 Meters.

The 2016 U.S. Track and Field Olympic Trials begin on Friday and run through July 10th. Athletes from around the country from both the professional level and the college level are in Eugene, Oregon and Hayward Field for a chance to represent the US in Rio.

Day 4 Preview

Fourth of July Fireworks could be in the cards for Raevyn Rogers in the 800 Meter Final to close out the half day of competition, but before that there are some important first round events with Oregon ties.

Brianna Nerud will look to advance in the 3000 Meter Steeplechase(4:02) following the Men’s Pole Vault that will get the afternoon started at 3:30. On opening night Galen Rupp took the 10,000 Meter title and will head to Rio to represent the U.S. This afternoon he will begin the feat of attempting to be in two events for the 2016 Olympics. Along with Bernard Legat, who bowed out in the 10k and Erik Jenkins. The 5000 Meters is set for 5:02pm Pacific Time.
