Tempo Starts With The O -Line

Against UC Davis it was hard to watch the Oregon Offense get off to a sputtering start. The team was able to get it together with the passing game as Dakota Prukop ended the game with solid stats in his first start for Oregon, but they were hardly Pac-12 Player of the Week numbers. If the competition were against Texas A&M, who it should have been, the storyline this week may have been different.

The Offensive Line will get better week by week as we get toward the games that count, but health is now a concern with Cameron Hunt sidelined with an injury. Experience counts and Oregon again will be young up front on Saturday with three or four Freshman getting their second career starts in College Football. The line is also responsible for another key aspect of the Ducks Offense.

Running Back Royce Freeman saw the ball 11 times for just 87 yards against UC Davis. Those numbers should increase this weekend with a game under the lights with a National Audience. A Heisman Statement could be made on Saturday night.
