Oakland Athletics Rookie Third Baseman Ryon Healy caps off the Regular Season with an honor from Major League Baseball.

Former Oregon Ducks Third Baseman has had the best summer of his life. He started the season in Double A but quickly moved up the ranks to the Major League Level in Oakland. Since his arrival he has comfortably hit 13 home runs and pushed home 37 batters in 73 at bats. While Oakland was not in Playoff contention this season, his team played spoiler the last month of the regular season.

Healy hit .355 in September to be named MLB Rookie of the Month and received high praise from his Manager Bob Melvin who has penciled him in as the A’s Starting Third Baseman in 2017.

The final regular season series of the year was against the Seattle Mariners who needed wins for a chance to make the post season. Healy helped Oakland to a series split(2-2) to  end the season for both teams.
