The Oregon Ducks lost their top rated commitment for the Class of 2016.

Deommodore Lenoir announced he has decommitted from the Oregon Football team and will reopen his recruitment. Earlier this week he hosted North Carolina State.

The decision of Lenoir may soon be followed by other recruits as well considering the University has yet to make a decision on the status of Head Coach Mark Helfrich. The repercussions of a broken recruiting class could impact the team for the future.

Lenoir was vocal during the season and spoke of coming to Eugene to take over for Starters who were not performing to their ability. He has also been a cheerleader for the Oregon Ducks rallying other recruits to join him in Eugene according to the Oregonian

The way that Athletic Director Rob Mullens has handled the situation is inexcusable and fans should know regardless of the outcome could be messy. According to 247 Sports Lenoir has ties to two other Oregon recruits in 4-Star Cornerback Jaylon Redd and 3-Star Athlete Nick Pickett.

In waiting, Mullens is gambling on the Oregon Ducks future on the football field. The longer the process drags on the uglier it will get for a team a few years removed from a National Championship.
