Byron Marshall Added To Philadelphia Eagles 53-Man Roster
Another former Oregon Ducks Running Back will be on the field in the NFL this week.
Running Back/Wide Receiver Byron Marshall has been taken from the Practice Squad and added to the 53-man roster for the Philadelphia Eagles. He could see his first action this weekend. Marshall played a key role for the Oregon Ducks in college learning to become a two way player on Offense, both as a Running Back and a Wide Receiver. He was signed as a free agent after the 2016 NFL Draft came and went without him hearing his name called.
As a Sophomore, he rushed for over 1,000 yards for the Oregon Ducks. In his Junior season he was asked to step into the role of Wide Receiver and had a 1,000 yard season catching the ball. Both seasons were with Marcus Mariota at the helm.

The Running Back situation is getting thin. Darren Sproles is in concussion protocol and the team lost Wendell Smallwood who was placed on Injured Reserve leaving another former Oregon Ducks, Kenjon Barner along with Marshall and Ryan Matthews on the roster this week for the game against Baltimore on Sunday.
