Oregon Ducks Women’s Basketball: Sabrina Ionescu Nets Second Triple-Double

Oregon Ducks Freshman Sabrina Ionescu picked up her second Triple-Double in a blowout win over the Clemson Tigers.

The Oregon Women’s Basketball team took their new ranking seriously forcing Clemson in to three early turnovers and taking a 10-0 lead off two three pointers to start the game.

Oregon pushed the lead off 15-0 run before Clemson got on the board. The Ducks continued to move the ball in the first quarter with Sabrina Ionescu netting 10 points with a turnover. Oregon was shooting better than 50 percent from the floor and had 8 assists on 9 made shots.

Clemson came back with 6 for 11 shooting from the floor and were down 10 to end the first quarter. The Ducks hit a two minute scoring drought to end the first quarter.

Both teams would see small scoring droughts in the second quarter, but the Oregon Ducks maintained their lead. Entering the break, Sabrina Ionescu lad 12 points and 8 rebounds for Oregon and was on her way to a double-double. Kelly Graves saw his team take an 8 point lead, 39-31 into the locker room.

In the end it was a big game for Sabrina Ionescu, who scored her second triple-double of the season against the Clemson Tigers. She had 23 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists as Oregon was on fire hitting 52 percent from the floor for the game and pulling away with their biggest lead late in the game.

It was a 28 point win for Kelly Graves and Company. The team now has a quick turnaround and travels to Ole Miss for a Wednesday matchup with the Lady Runnin’ Rebels. Tipoff is set for 4pm Pacific Time.
