On Monday the ‘Win The Day’ mantra that has been around the last several seasons appeared to be making an exit.

Oregon Football has been synonymous with ‘Win The Day’ since Chip Kelly was Head Coach. The mantra continued through the Mark Helfrich era that ended last month. Now, the Willie Taggart era begins and it looks like the Oregon Football Program is about to get some rebranding with Taggart’s Influence. For now, it is simply Oregon Football

Willie Taggart had a style and a swagger at the University of South Florida. His message is a little longer than ‘Win The Day’. I’m not sure ‘Make No Excuses, Blame No One, Do Something’ will be emblazoned on Autzen Stadium, but the move appears to mean the end of the ‘Win The Day’ mantra for the Oregon Football Program.

Taggart has also compared Autzen Stadium to a ‘Snake Pit’ (That could be interesting). Willie Taggart is hot on the Recruiting Trail of late. National Signing Day is set for February 1st. He is putting together what he wants in Eugene, and it appears that recruits are not only listening to his pitch, but also committing to the program in the process.

I expect the message that Head Coach Willie Taggart wants to send, be it inspiring or revealing, will come with time. It will define his brand of football at Oregon, but also send a solid message that defines his style and determination to take the Oregon Ducks toward a National Championship in the years to come.
