The Oregon Women’s Basketball team will be without two key players on Friday when ninth ranked Washington comes to Matthew Knight Arena.

Kelly Graves has watched his Oregon Ducks win six of their last seven games to wrap up the Non-Conference slate. Sabrina Ionescu has two triple-doubles already in her Freshman season, but is out with a broken finger in her shooting hand. Word came Thursday that Maite Cazorla would be joining her on the bench for the game against Washington to open Pac-12 Conference play Friday afternoon.

It is games like this that will test a team’s resilience and Kelly Graves has played every eligible player on his roster throughout the Non-Conference slate for this exact opportunity. While Ionescu and Cazorla cannot be replaced with their experience on the floor, the hope is that they can replace the average 21 points per game the two have produced so far this season.

Ruthy Hebard leads the team with over 14 points per game averaging just 20 minutes of playing time. I expect she will get the start on Friday against Washington. The Oregon Ducks have enough talent to keep it close with the Washington Huskies.
