Oregon Football: Matt Lubick Shifts From Ole Miss To Baylor

Former Oregon Ducks Offensive Coordinator Matt Lubick is on the move again.

The end of 2016 marked the end of the Coaching Tenure for Assistants of Oregon Football, including Offensive Coordinator Matt Lubick. Just before Christmas is was announced he was becoming the Wide Receivers Coach at a former school, Ole Miss.

Over the weekend, Lubick shifted positions again and found a new home with the Baylor Bears. Ole Miss confirmed on Monday that Lubick will become the Offensive Coordinator for the Baylor Bears.

Baylor hired Temple Head Coach Matt Rhule last month and the Bears won their Bowl Game over Boise State over the weekend.

Matt Lubick spent a season at the helm of the Oregon Football Offense as Coordinator and took over for Scott Frost in 2016. Frost departed following the 2015 season to become the Head Coach at the University of Central Florida. Lubick moves up and inherits the NCAA 24th ranked passing Offense.

The Baylor Bears threw for just over 500 more yards in 2016 than the Oregon Football team. The Bears had 33 touchdowns through the air to the Oregon Ducks 28. Baylor averaged roughly 280 yards through the air per contest.

Baylor hosts Liberty and USTA to begin the 2017 season which also includes games at Oklahoma and TCU.
