Tennessee Titans Marcus Mariota ‘Doing Great’ In Recovery, Will Miss Pro Bowl
Tennessee Titans Quarterback Marcus Mariota is recovering from leg surgery and doing well following a Medical Exam on Wednesday.
It could have been a dream season for the Tennessee Titans. The team was in the thick of a Playoff race, but as the season came to a close Starting Quarterback Marcus Mariota was lost following a broken fibila. He had surgery and is reportedly doing well.
According to the Tennessean, in a radio interview with Head Coach Mike Mularkey, Mariota is on track for OTA’s, “He’s doing great. He should be back when we get this thing rolling. I can’t tell you exact times of when he’s going to practice, but he should be ready for the season, which is what we want him for. But he’s doing good. He’s going to be a very good patient, if I have anything to do with it.”
Mariota broke his fibula on the same day as Oakland Raiders Quarterback Derek Carr, unofficially ending the Raiders season as well. They would lose in the first round of the Playoffs. The former Oregon Quarterback was on track to be a first alternate selection for the Pro Bowl in Orlando. The place will now go to Kansas City QB Alex Smith.
