The storyline should have been a solid start and a dominating finish by the Oregon Ducks over Cal, but as the second half started it changed.

Dana Altman watched Oregon execute near perfect Defense holding Cal Leading scorer Ivan Rabb to just four points for the game. He finished 2 for 10 from the field with just 4 points. The Ducks shot 58 percent in the first half with Dillon Brooks hitting perfect shots from the field with 10 points. He did not return in the second half from a ‘lower leg injury’.  For the game against Cal, the Ducks appeared to not need him in the second half.

Jordan Bell shouldered the load with 26 points and 6 rebounds. Tyler Dorsey added 16 and Casey Benson was solid off the bench with 15 points in the 86-63 win over Cal. The Golden Bears out rebounded the Ducks 34-25, but Oregon had 20 points off 20 Cal Turnovers that was the difference in the game.

The Oregon Ducks tied their longest winning streak in their history and also picked up their 37th straight win at Matthew Knight Arena. The injury to Brooks was not seen and Dana Altman said he would be re-evaluated on Friday.
