Oregon Football Gets Defensive On National Signing Day
Oregon Football saved the best signing for last with Cornerback Deommodore Lenoir, signifying a Big Defensive Class of 2017.
Willie Taggart had his meeting with the media, and had to wait a few more hours before he ‘got his guy.’ Throughout the day commitments came in at the Hatfield-Dowlin Complex in a flurry. There were 24 in all. They started rolling in at 7am Pacific Time and ended with one of the top Defensive Recruits in the Nation in Lenior.

Oregon Football and the 4-Star Cornerback have had a history. Lenoir was committed with Mark Helfrich and decommitted shortly before he was fired in November. Taggart did his best to keep Lenoir in the fold in his ‘style’ of Oregon Football and it worked.
Jim Leavitt worked his way through what was likely an entire case of Pepsi today as he helped secure the Oregon Defense for 2017 and beyond. Lenoir is joined by Cornerback Thomas Graham, Safety Billy Gibson, Safety Nick Pickett. Linebackers Sampsin Niu and Isaac Slade-Matuatia helped round out the Defense.
Offensively, Oregon rounded out the Offensive Line with some size. 3-Star George Moore comes to the Ducks as the top JUCO talent. Alex Forsythe and Cody Shear join Oregon Football as instate commitments. Quarterback Braxton Burmeister adds another athletic signal caller to the mix.
The Wide Receiver position received 4-Star Jaylon Redd – who previously was a Defensive Star, along with Daewood Davis. Taggart also tapped the State of Florida and found some key athletes who will find roles on his Oregon Football Offense.
