On Tuesday Michigan Head Coach Jim Harbaugh announced Freshman Tight End David Asiasi was leaving the Wolverines and considering a new spot out West.

According to SBNation, Asiasi saw limited time as a Freshman behind Starter Jake Butt, but he was solid with his blocking ability. He is looking to join a team closer to his hometown on the West Coast. Two years ago Duck Territory discussed his Top 8 which included several Pac-12 teams including Cal, USC, UCLA, Washington and Oregon Football.

With a new coaching staff and a need at Tight End, a consideration for Willie Taggart and Oregon Football would be intriguing. David Asiata was a 4-Star Recruit coming out of high school. Since he played at Michigan he would be required to sit out a season. Duck fans looking for a ‘fix’ at Tight End in 2017 will be disappointed following the graduation of Pharoah Brown and johnny Mundt.

Oregon missed on Josh Falo, the top tight end in the country on National Signing Day. Falo joined a loaded Tight End Class with the USC Trojans. Asiasi could be a nice fit with Oregon who in the past has spread the ball around as a primary outlet for the Quarterback. If Oregon is an option, he would be eligible to see the field in 2018.
