Oregon Track and Field Distance Runner Edward Cheserek showed again why he is King in setting a new bar in the Collegiate Mile over the weekend.

Edward Cheserek picked up where he left off every year he has been at the University of Oregon. He has been named an NCAA Champion 15 times in his career as a Duck helping Tracktown USA live up its moniker. His race in the Outdoor season is the 10,000 Meters, but in the indoor Season, its the mile.

On Sunday, Cheserek broke the Indoor Mile Record at Boston University running an under 4 minute mile at 3:52.01, breaking the mark set by Lawi Lalang which stood for two years. Cheserek is in his Senior Year with Oregon and it appears it is ending with a similar bang from when it started four years ago.

Edward Cheserek with the win now has his second NCAA Leading Time this season and his Third NCAA Qualifying Time just a month into the Indoor Track and Field Season.

Johnny Gregorek finished third setting a Personal Best Mark of 3:53.15 thanks in part to the pace set by Cheserek.
